Good beans, but slightly oily, so watch out that they don't clog the bean grinder!Other than that, I recommend them.
I've had a smaller bag of these before and though I enjoyed them, the cost for the smaller (albeit resealable) bag, felt too high given the flavour and taste profile. This 1Kg (non resealable) bag brings the cost per kilo down to a more acceptable level and therefore represents much better value in my opinion.The beans are a lovely dark colour and I'm using a medium grind and medium heat in my bean to cup coffee machine.The resulting espresso features a good crema to it, a definite chocolate and tobacco nose and bitter sweet taste profile. As before, that flavour tends to get dulled if you are making long & overly milky drinks, but if you stick to espresso shots or macchiatos, then you'll keep more of that flavour.
Lovely flavour, really smooth taste, going to be my regular from now on.

Lovely smooth rich taste
I am a coffee addict. Lovely and strong without bitterness. I now have this on subscription. I use a bean to cup machine and it’s not to greasy. Nice crème , I have black coffee my partner has a flat white. Makes a okay cappuccino too. For the money it’s brilliant.

I do not drink coffee so my review is solely based on my husbands perception. He is the coffee connoisseur in our family and always up for trying new things. If I do drink it's once in a blue moon and less than a quarter of a spoonful. So onto the coffee which is a full 1kg of beans which need to be ground down before use ( my hubby has the necessities to do this). Being the non coffee drinker of the family I might add I didn't get the waft of coffee that you get in coffee shops but more a burning smell when my hubby was making this for use with his cafetiere and often thought something had caught fire, so for me not a pleasant scent but mu hubby the other hand just adored this coffee. He loved it so much he has bought two bags since and even swears he found the coffee first but we all know the truth. I think it depends on your palette whether you either loathe or love this. It's a bit like a marmite there are those that love and those that hate. My hubby didn't smell the burning fragrance that I could smell so each to their own.
I enjoyed this coffee in my cafetiere. You can smell and taste the slight tobacco notes in the flavour which made it surprisingly. It's not a very strong nor a bitter coffee.
The balance is perfect, taste and value for money are second to none. This is a great coffee, at a great price.I have no idea what some of these reviewers are drinking but it's not this blend or they are looking for a cup of instant. Maybe they are competitors but they are not honest no matter their reason. Sorry, just need to call this out as there are so many dodgy people trying to rubbish good quality for their own benefit ...
I bought these on recommendation of a friend. They are a really nice tasting roast bean.Keep them in a vacuum sealed jar and they last for ages.Great flavour in a percolator or a coffee machine - and if you like a good Turkish style coffee then - BOOM.These really hit the spot.
For the dark roast lovers these beans are the ones to have,and value for money
Really pleased we ordered this . Did not know the brand but very impressed . Great taste and works well as espresso or a long coffee. Will very happily keep ordering this brand and suggest everyone tries it .
